Frequently Asked Questions

Via Cura is a new solution for therapy providers in the long term care setting. Flexible and adaptable to suit rehab providers, in-house arrangements, and managed therapy models.

Do you require specific hardware or software?

Any computer, whether desktop, laptop, or tablet with a basic internet connection will work (including cell phones and hotspots). No special operating systems needed. Windows, Mac, or tablets. 

(We'll be issuing an update soon for use with smartphones - no app required)

We suggest using the Chrome browser for reliability and a PDF reader is helpful for printing reports.

Is my data and connection secure?

We use end-to-end 258-bit encryption over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). The data transferred to your machine is never stored unless you opt to screenshot a page. 

The software requires authenticated log-in credentials and the data is never stored on your device. 

Your data is stored on our secure servers with an encrypted database. The code passed to your computer to process the data only deploys the minimum necessary codes to ensure functionality. 

Can my entire team have access?

There is no limit to the number of users per site. Via Cura has been designed with permissions and access rights based on types of users. 

Therapists, Managers, MDS nurse, DONs, Regionals, Corporate, Executive, and Physicians. 

Does Via Cura integrate with SNF EMRs?

ViaCura can design an export to any 3rd party facility software and will be built for your needs during onboarding and set-up. 

EMR providers who allow integration: We require at least a 45 day lead to initiate the work order and handle the integration. Via Cura will work directly with your IT personnel to ensure functionality. 

*It should be noted that each EMR has their own set of tools which may require additional services purchased on your end. This is out of our control. The level of integration varies among EMR providers. 

We currently integrate with MatrixCare and have initiated integration contracts with Point Click Care. 

We are happy to initiate integration with your facility EMR provider, but may take up to 60 days to complete.

What is "Automated Intelligence" listed on your features?

Via Cura's proprietary "Automated Intelligence" utilizes current technology to streamline workflows. 

When an evaluating therapist initiates the plan of care, Via Cura sends the information through the system and creates the treatment plan, schedules treatment days, and finds the proper locations in the daily planner. The system flags your Dx and Tx codes to ensure the proper workflows are initiated.

Will physicians have the ability to do electronic signatures?

Via Cura designed a Physician dashboard which allows secure log-in and electronic signature. You simply set up your physicians in the administration dashboard and grant them access. 

The MD log-in credentials provides the minimum necessary data to sign your orders at their convenience.

We'll provide a sample Electronic Signature policy to share with your MDs. 

How much does the software cost?

Via Cura is a subscription based software service. We charge a monthly fee based on the number of locations in use. We offer multi-site discounts for larger installations. 

There is no hardware to purchase from Via Cura. Bring your own technology and an internet connection with speeds of 6MBs Download or better for ideal operation.
